Buffalo Double Decker Bus Tours

Amherst High’s 50-year anniversary reunion took place over 4 days. One of the weekday events was a bus tour by Buffalo Double Decker Bus Tours. They arranged for the bus to pick them up at their High School for a “Best of Buffalo” tour. This would be a really fun option for a limited (65 people) group of classmates and their families.

“Our “Best of Buffalo” tour is our most popular Buffalo tour.  Your guide is Officer O’Connor, an Irish cop from the 1800s who brings to life all the hidden stories of the Queen City.  This Buffalo tour begins with a 40 minute walking tour of the Naval and Military Park.  During our time at the Park we will walk aboard the USS The Sullivans and the USS Little Rock to experience the stories of the women, men and machines that have safeguarded freedom.  Once aboard the bus, we’ll explore:
  • How Buffalo Got its Name
  • Buffalo’s notorious Canal District
  • Millionaire’s Row 
  • Richardson Complex AKA the Psych Center
  • The Triple Hanging at City Hall
  • The Naval Park and America’s Most Famous Photo
  • Canalside
  • Secrets of Downtown Architecture”

We might be able to work in a lunch during the tour, which was part of Amherst’s tour.
